The location for the August shoot has been scheduled! We will be gathering at Marion Square on the morning of Saturday, August 19th at 7:00am for a stroll down King Street. A virtual cornucopia of possibilities are available to shoot and practice techniques so bring your camera, and a friend for what will hopefully be a rewarding outing. Coffee is also recommended givin the hour, but not required! :) More shots from the club member galleries should be featured here later on today, so stop back to see what comes up this time around!

I don’t have an SLR. I want one, but well, I’m always funny about spending a lot of money on one of “my hobbies.” Honestly though, I think I’ve had some pretty decent results with the P&S and in a year or two may be able to justify the SLR.
Besides, someone has to stay home with the rugrats. I just have to figure out the appropriate bribe.

Oh…I thought the one you had at the suaree was an SLR. I hear ya on overspending though - good thing the entry level SLR’s have come down in price. You can get an entry level SLR (w/ kit lens) for only $600 these days. I actually read a review of these in a recent photo mag - if I can find it, I’ll post a write up of the article here…would make a good subject!
