This made me dig out an old t-shirt from the late, lamented Backstage Deli that states: 24 hours in a day/24 bottles in a case of beer/Coincidence? I think not."

I love Grape Nehi! (courtesy of Radar O\'Riley from M*A*S*H episodes - never would have had it if it wasn\'t for watching that in my youth. Then again, who am I kidding, I still watch it today on the Hallmark channel!) The other soda I remember from my youth was waking into the Bridge club where my mom played bridge every Monday and Wednesday during the summer while the kids all went to Tennis World in Denever. She smoked like a chimney and guzzled Tab like it was going out of style. I was too young to drink it (or smoke), but the pinkish colored cans of soda are part of my glory days of youth...*sigh* Thanks for taking the time to look and comment and humor my stroll down memory lane. (I guess that means the framing of the second one worked as the \"Days of Yore\" was in keeping with your commentary! :) )

The second shot, with the cokes, reminds me of the really old days, say the 60's and early 70's, when you could walk into a neighborhood grocery story and pick a soft drink out of the cooler. Nehi, Fanta, Dr. Pepper, all the old, forgotten brands of our youth. Great pictures.
